If you check my original trip report, you can see that once I moved from the Dancer to Fish-n-Fins I did indeed see all the fish rumoured to exist in Palau! The problem on the Dancer appeared to be a combination of the DMs not putting in at the right places-- at least from some of the arguments we heard among the crew-- and the complete lack of knowledge about the sites from some of the staff who were simply clearing visas. Once we got on land and went out with F'n'F, suddenly there it all was-- so I did get a chance to see the wonderful fish life of Palau, and I know that it wasn't simply bad timing but a really lousy dive boat experience. I'm glad other people are having better experiences!

We did indeed. Fabulous time on the Dancer, and we found the crew most knowledgeable and helpful. Sorry your experience wasn't better, but I'm delighted you actually got to see a fish. :)
