I just hope someone is counting at the end and waiting for me.....
Ha! You're just looking for an excuse to harass the captain with your walky talky.

I count them and like MMM I also try to figure out some way to distinguish them from the others underwater. Fins, different colors on their wetsuits or board shorts or booties, something different.
That is why I dive a bright orange OxyCheq wing...

That is why I like my white fins, besides it give me something to adjust white balance with.

Wow, small world??

i was on both these boats. Dove the Dive Paradise express with BigHat and on the Tres Pelicanos Skinny Shark with dberry.

I thought we had a great dive team on the DP boat, made my trip. Glad to hear Maja got to dive the Devils Throat after trying all week. Kim got to dive the wreck she wanted, was Dan there for the DT dive? BigHat and wifey are hardcore, it was great diving with y'all. My computer gave me a 7 minute obligation on that Dahlia dive as well. We should do the Blue Hole some time soon?

It was fun diving with Dberry and daughter. Those were some great dives despite the conditions. Turtles were everywhere!

I would guess Christi was questioning the numbers as you implied at least 10 divers (8+we) and one DM.

Yes, precisely as that was what his post said. I wasn't "suggesting" anything - I was asking for clarification of his post - which he has done - and yes - ONE DM with 10 divers to DT - reckless no matter how experieced the group is and a clear cut violation of MP regs that state a maximum ratio of 8 divers to 1 DM on ANY dive

Are the DM's 'registered' with the government in some way? If not, what if a tourist diver happens to be a DM?

Richard.

Yes, licensed marine park guides.

THe Marine park regulations require a LOCAL licensed guide who has taken the marine park course and hold a credential to do so to lead all dives - this also applies to snorkeling or any activities within the marine park
