A footnote to today's dive:
I was anchored in 25 feet of water with a dive flag mounted on my bright yellow kayak. A large catamaran full of snorkelers motors within 50 feet of my kayak. I look up from the bottom and its almost directly over me as I am about 40 feet from my kayak. All perfectly legal under Hawaii's dive flag law. It's no wonder an instructor lost his leg and his diver suffered a severed arm over on Kauai a couple of months back.
