No one would come forward if it is an ongoing poaching ring, not unknown here, which would then put them under scrutiny.

When first reading I assumed the sheriff said it was a diver but i should read slower. Divers and surfers around here wear different wetsuits, so it will be a fairly easy call if they wanted too, but the authorities tend to withhold details.

As for a body dump, this ain't New Jersey.

Person found was apparently not a diver but a surfer who had been missing since 11/25/14.

From the Daily Journal:

"The body of a surfer who was reported missing off of a Pacifica beach last month was recovered a mile off Salt Point State Park on the Sonoma Coast, a Sonoma County sheriff’s sergeant said Friday.The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office used dental records to identify the deceased man as 52-year-old Brook Warren Keyon, of Shingle Springs...."
