Well, I went by my LDS today. They were able to swap out the connector on the BC. Like I said earlier, it is a Seaquest Dimension and turns out it is about 10 years old. From looking at it, I wouldn't think it was more than a couple of years old. I'm going to try it out this weekend to see if it is worth keeping.
