Doug, I was there until 1987. I went back two years ago. I lived at Sapphire Beach. I was a Biology major at university of the Virgin islands with patrick kilbride (or his son?) i remember there were three generations. he was my lab partner!

Hello Cathy, and Doug as well!

My dad sent me the link to this discussion board, it was neat to see people posting here I used to know from the Virgin Islands. I just joined the board, so look forward to catching up with you both.

1987 !!! :11:

i wasn't even born then :eyebrow:

wc.. dang.. you barely came home.. now you're going back?

is the diving in the V.I. that much better than HI?
if so.. you got extra room in your rental? maybe i could be your DMC :D

And I thought this thread was all about virgin islanders in the state of Hawaii. If it's anything like Catalina, the only virgins one finds here are WAY under age. Back to your regular programming.

Neither was her husband! :rofl3: :rofl3:

It's not so much better as different. More corals, gogoanians ( butchered that one) some diffferent fish, many the same or nearly so. Not so many turtles but way more lobsters. No nudis thou:( but the nudi action on the beach makes up for that:wink:
We had one day of 90-100 foot vis but it's more typicaly 50-60 feet.
The dolphin that came and played with us for five minutes was hard to beat.
" maybe i could be your DMC" Sure! I always like tank apes.
