The display on my VT3 is flashing between "NORM" and "EL 2"
What does the EL 2 Code mean??
 
EL 2 indicates elevation. SEA for sea level and EL 2 through EL 7 as you go higher.

That's 100% right! It's basically a feature for divers who like to dive in lakes and quarries that are above sea level. As you know from your OW courses, there are some considerations to take into account when diving at altitude it terms of compensating for the decreased atmospheric pressure.
