Well, I got my transmitter Saturday and found out that the device is designed to connect either directly to the first stage or... using a swivel pin connecting it to a standard 6 inch hp hose.
Turns out that the folks at Suunto built the fitting on the transmitter as a dual purpose connector... either direct or to a hose with a standard presure guage swivel pin. Of course you have to remove the oring if you connect the device to a hose.
