yes, I wore my Eclipse once because I was two pounds over, and they let me.. It was either that or pay a lot of money....leaving Palau, I think. Things are SO random at every airport, I would not COUNT on anything, but the mad redistribution passengers go through, well, they seem to get some perverse satisfaction from that.

Wildcard actually wore a full set of body armor leaving Kuwait, returning from a private security job. ...strange things are going on "out there" in the world of airports. Meanwhile my child was escorted outside the terminal in Maui for accidently having some hair product.

Hey heres another thought; fill it full of water and just tell them it is a new prototype hydration vest! And you are a field test engineer.

He would probably have MORE than three ounces of liquid in there! :D

WOW....:rofl3:

I don't really care what I look like, as too many people care too much.

Was trying to think of ways to not check any bags in - don't need many clothes for Aruba and I didn't want to go thru checking in bags, worrying about losing stuff, etc.

Now that I have been thru the intialization flaming, I will go lick my wounds and come out thinking twice about stupid ideas.

Thanks for all the funny stuff and a few comments - guess I'll pack the sucker - don't want to be target practice or bitten by large dogs.

years ago (before 9/11) there was a german tourist in brisbane that attempted to go thru security & checkin while wearing his 3mm under this clothing and bcd over the top

one of the other passangers reported him, he got hauled in for 6hr questioning, missed his flight and we found out as he wrote a letter to our local papers complaining about his treatment

at the time we thought what a bloody idiot..... to try it now, i would expect TSA attention and tazers drawn

but if you want to hold an Islamic fundamentalist rant session and request seat belt extensions, you can sue for millions and the ACLU will help you.

...oh don't forget your "special meal" goat kabobs and chai.

...who is running this show?

Sorry about having fun at your expense. I guess you never got to paragraph 2. I mentioned an Oceanic backpack that may fit your needs. I know others make similar backpacks. Desc of prod it says it will carry:
The ultimate travel system including the Islander BC with Air XS 2 Octo, Delta 4 Regulator, ATOM Wristwatch, Ultra .5 Wetsuit, and V6 Fins weighs in at just over 20 lbs., including the bag!

But heres the link for you : Oceanic Worldwide - Scuba Diving Bags - At-Pak 4 Wheeled Carry-On

No way, I think all this is great - no problem here. If you can't take a joke, then get out a here.

ted01 thanks for the seriousness and I will look into that. Already jumped into the deep end (ha ha) and bought my "stuff". Bridgade BCD, envoy deluxe reg, pinnacle 3mm elastiprene w/merino, mask, snorkel, fins, booties, accessories, etc. Wife's not too happy, but I am as happy as a pig in "stuff". Haven't bought a dive computer yet, as I don't know enough as to what I want on it. No bag either, was going to use this trip as my learning experience as to how to pack.

Thanks again to all, and no feelings or anything else hurt here.
Robi:)
