I had tried to mount it to the Mares BC. :shakehead: Problem was the grommets on the BC are thick. After I finally got the screws started, they pulled out of the plastic and through the holes. For the price another screw length could be provided. Not as convenient mounted knife to low pressure hose. When I remove the sheath to send the reg (Legend LX ACD) in for service I noted that the rubber mounting strap had torn. Hopefully I'll have parts when reg comes back.:(

Remove the grommets.

The grommets are plastic. I pounded them with a mallet in order to get them started. If I had not tightened them to the point where the nut started pulling out of the plastic, there would have been 1 thread holding on the knife. If the grommet are removed, I fear that the plastic nuts on the screws would pull through the BC.

Remove the grommets and replace with one or two 1/8 inch hole stainless fender washers. Fenders are quite wide in diameter so they will give you enough coverage and are quite thin so even two of them likely won't add up to half the thickness of thick grommets.

The screws pulled through the plastic nuts, the rubber tore. I'm going to loosen the screw and attach directly to the shoulder strap.
