The wife and will be in Sydney for a couple of days and would like to get a couple of quick dives in…..itll be in the beginning of November so just wondering what thickness wetsuits are common at that time? Really wondering if we should bring our 3mm or if thicker is necessary……cheers!

Shops will rent you a 7mm probably. It will be around 18-19 degrees C. I regularly used to do it in a 5mm with frogskin top and was cool by the end of the second dive, but now I own a drysuit!

3 mm is way too thin, even at the height of summer temperatures. You need 5 mm at a minimum at that time.

Tried once in a 7mm wetsuit and I was miserable. Can't image only being in a 3mm

Drysuit only for me please.
