1) Whatever you have agreed, or briefed, to do with your buddy/team for that contingency.

2) Ease your diving until your situational awareness isn't overloaded by other factors.

3) Use lights and establish pro-active communication habits.

*note: the common response to #1 is a one-minute search en-situ, followed by a normal ascent and re-establish contact on the surface. That remains flexible though, and should be determined and agreed to fit the specific dive conditions, as part of all pre-dive preparations.
