Random question...

I have a pair of YS-01 strobes that are about nine years old. On my last trip, I had a bitch of a time with both of them as they inconsistently worked the entire week. Consequently I will never trust them again, and they have already been replaced.

So what do I do with them? I hate the idea of chucking them in the garbage, but obviously, I cannot sell them. Any ideas? Is any aspect of them of use at all?

Thanks in advance.

Our LDS takes some old gear, cleans it up, and donates it to a scout troop, but that’s more attuned to regs, fins, etc.—even a couple of computers. I’ll bet if you clean up the contacts and get them started, you could find an aspiring photographer with a TG who would jump at the chance to try to work with a free strobe or two.

List them on eBay as not working parts units for $0.99 plus shipping. Provide the same description you have given here.

Lots of "junk" gets sold on eBay as there are people out there that are able to scavenge things.
