This is an Orb Weaver Spider that was living off of our back patio for several months this summer.

He measured about 2-2.5 inches in diameter!
 
The one at work changes every month. I get it from the Experimental Aviation Association web site. The green turtle is on my computer at home.

Not dive related, but seasonal... I took w/ my new camera last week. -I'm trying to get used to it 'cause it'll be my u/w camera when I go diving in St Thomas in January.

yep, it's a real ship alright. not a photograph, but an artists rendering of the grand dame herself, as she looks today almost fifty years later.
