Where to stay in Padang Bai?

Hi mate! Liberty of course gets a great reputation but we stay at puri Madha for a couple of reasons. Firstly they have the best location - smack bang in the middle of the wreck. From their restaurant you have good access to the slope where a lot of the macro action is, and from their dive shop good access to the bow. Secondly if you get one of the pool front rooms (cheap at 450,000 idr per night) you are basically beachfront. Thirdly unlike Liberty they will let you do your own dives. They will hire you air tanks for 50,000 idr per tank ($4 or so). Liberty have a couple of very good photo guides. There is one at puri Madha. His name is Bagong.

it is a shame they do not have nitrox. Had stayed with them a couple of times.
