Hello everyone-

As a benefit, my company gives us 1-2 days per year that we can use to do volunteer work, and also get paid our normal salary. Last year, a few of us went and did the Catalina Harbor cleanup. We missed Catalina this year though.

Do you guys know of any other dive evens this year that are for volunteer organizations in SoCal that we could sign up for?

The San Diego Oceans Foundation (sdoceans.org) has monthly cleaning dives for their nets in San Diego Harbor. It's typically on the weekend though. The next one is scheduled for 09/20/09: San Diego Oceans Foundation Hope to see you there!

Cheers,
Gerald

Volunteer Crew Information

Requires a lot more than 1-2 days per year at Catalina (USC Wrigley Marine Science Center at Big Fisherman Cove/Two Harbors) for the initial internship and subsequent full volunteer crew member status however.
