My buddies and I are looking around a 80 mile radius surrounding the Los Angles area.

Yes, we are looking for an alternative other than ocean diving, I've dove Catalina many, many, many times, I dove Malibu, many, many, many times. But those many times are also bad vis and crappy condition times. One of my dive buddies recommended we look into some lake diving just to try it out and see if it is worth anything, that's all.

It's more than 80 miles (more like 400), but if you want some altitude as well I know some folks that like to dive Huntington Lake.

There's supposed to be some interesting stuff in those hi alt. lakes

I have heard nothing but crummy stuff about Perris, but never dove it myself
