There have been numerous sightings up north of S.F.! Stinson Beach has been closed twice due to sightings in the surf line and a buddy of mine who was salmon fishing saw one breach the water close to his boat (estimated at 16-18ft)
Tis the season for these sharks in our waters!

How sad. Such a young and beautiful shark. What a waste.

They also killed around 100 spiny dogfish sharks today. So they could be dissected by a class. Yeah, that's just in 1 day. Maybe that's why I never see them on dives.


That really is uncalled for, we really need to find out the name of the school. Hmm.... about as great as dumping 13 tons of human waste in the ocean at Newport Beach! :11:

Well in hundreds of dives in SoCal I have only ever seen one . . . on the far side of San Clemente Island several years ago.

How they managed to destroy 100 of them in a single day is baffling - and explains the lack of them if they are targetting them when they manage to mass together.
