We'll be diving a site off Clearwater FL in the Gulf of Mexico called Mastadon Tabletop. It's a circular ledge about 70 feet deep with a 4 to 8 foot profile. It takes about 20 minute to make a complete circle around the "tabletop". Lots of deep undercuts with plenty of Snapper and Hog fish. Then we usually do a quick run across the top to see what we can find.
I'd like to find out more about the geology of what causes a formation like that.....
