Why do you spearfish?

Call it male bonding or what ever you want but, I have two sons that love to spearfish; not that I don't enjoy a good meal of fish, or the challenge of the hunt, as much as anyone, but the real kicker for me is when their friends call up and want to go hang out and my sons come to me making sure that we're not going Sfishing. They'd rather dive and fish with their dad than do anything their buddies might have in mind. To me that's priceless, for everything else there's MC.

I live in Arkansas. Deer season doesn't start until October, <b>but spear fishing season starts in June!</b> Set up my "stand" by a brush pile and wait for "Mr Whiskers" to come cruising by and I get dinner on the table by nightfall. Catfish dinner is hard to beat!
