I have found the 6 pound weight that Halcyon sells that hides in the STA to be very convenient and its a good place to put weight to help with trim. Do the other manufacturers mentioned sell a similar weighting addition?

I don't like the xtec personally, I dive halcyon bp/harness with a Hollis wing and I love it. I think the best bp/w combo is one you piece together of exactly what you want.

DSS has plates that bolt on the back of the wing. But the halcyon STA is very nice. I think you can mount it on just about any system.

Then buy Deep Sea Supply.

It is not fancy, but works just great. There is a guy called Tobin, who is the head honcho there who can be found on SB.

The system in simple, well constructed, and obviously built by someone who knows what they are doing.

It is also competitively priced, which does not hurt.
Just got my new DSS complete set-up for a single tank, with a short, steel BP. It is so nice! Service was great and fast!
i need to spend today putting my harness together. The instructions that came with it look quite easy. I can't wait to jump in the pool this afternoon and try it out!
