Winter Jetty Fest 2010 Jan 22-24

The winter time Jetty Fest was created to help promote winter diving and to allow ScubaBoarders to get together and keep diving year 'round. Many will be camping at Ft. Pickens, but for those who may want better accommodations there are hotels and condos on Pensacola Beach which is only a 5-10 minute drive away. There will be great shore diving opportunities to allow divers of all skills to have fun. Dive locations will include:

Perdido Pass (Alabama Point)
Ft. Pickens Jetties
Pensacola Beach Pier Rubble
Navarre Pier (if not dismantled by the time of this event)
Destin Jetties
PC Jetties (St. Andrews Jetties)

I might make it out there this weekend and try to dive Ft. Pickens and I will make my way around the campsite if I do. Right now I believe that camping is only $10.00, but now that electricity has been installed I would think that the prices will go up. I will talk to the park rangers about the prices and get some of the particulars and post it up soon.

All Florida State Parks normally charge about 16 per night.
