Wife tried to revive man who died in Mexico | PostIndependent.com
James “Jim” Jess Thew of Rifle drowned in a diving accident while vacationing in Mexico with his wife, Aundrea, and friends. He was 44.
Thew was in Mexico scuba diving when the accident happened. Although his wife tried to give him CPR until the paramedics arrived, he could not be revived.
He was from Spring Lake Park, Minnesota, and was a graduate of Royall High School and Western Technical College in Wisconsin. He served briefly in the U.S. Marine Corps.
His obituary described him as an avid hunter, outdoorsman and family man.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at New Creation Church, 44761 Highway 6, Glenwood Springs.
