i read the manual for xr-1 and my understanding is that it will always stay on till the time till desat # counts down to 0, but if it is dry and the button is pressed it will stay of for 2 hours then turn off?

problem is mine has been on overnight and i can't think of any way to get it off other than to remove the battery

it is cycling thru the depths/time

there is nothing blocking the button from being pressed

or presumably that is where the 'contacts' are for water activation

so i turned off water activation , guess i now have to wait 2 more hours to determine if it is going to turn off ??

seems like i saw a battery icon at some point this morning as well and during one mode 18- like a number was missing in the bottom field when it shows the time of day, the big bottom number was like 18-

HOW do i get this thing to turn off as it will only do 50 dives before the battery must be changed ? and a battery costs $10 ?
