personally, i love diving new england. im apart of my college's scuba club and recently was put in charge of trip planning. i dont mind the cold water and almost everytime ive gone under the visibility has been exceptional. ive dove jamestown RI, a few spots in CT and Gloucester MA. im wondering if theres any spots out there that my club and i could hit. were going back to jamestown this weekend to watch a few members do their open water cert and dive around. its a nice dive (close, and always some good marine life) but were always looking for new sites

Hey TyGuy,

I'm from Massachusetts, and I'm doing my Open Water dives for my certification this week in Boston Harbor (off of some of the inner islands). I'll let you know what I see/how the spots are if you'd like, and I'm glad to hear that there are some other awesome spots around NE to dive!

TyGuy, I spent summer diving the CT shore at: State Parks of: Silver Sands, Hammonnassett and Rocky Point, and at Compo Beach (Co. Park?) close to Sherwood I. Luck to get 10 feet anywhere. Where did you go in CT?

the places in CT have been Bigelow hollow, pleasure beach (it was so so) and a small lake near my hometown. bigelow hollow is by far my favorite i dove there this past weekend and found an old scubapro mask in about 8 inches of mud. i havent tried hammonassett yet but ive been there.

i love diving wetherhill and never head of kings beach. im taking my next class in wetherhill soon and cant wait, everytime i go there i see something new and amazing. this weekend were actually taking a trip to dutch springs (in penn.) and do some diving there.

thanks for the info, i hope i can hit all these spots before it gets too cold
