OK, so your at the dive site and a problem comes up, what's in your tool box to fix a potential problem that may save a dive? If it's out of the ordinary, explain what it's use is for. Hopefully this thread can save a few dives in the future by being better prepared. Thanks......

Hiya,

In addition to the above (minus the condom catheter (no P-Valve) and zip seals (no DUI suit)) I carry, in my black bag of doom:

2x mask straps
2x fin straps with buckles (had them spare when I bought spring straps, good to help other people)
2x fin straps w/o buckles (my old spares, see above)
3x reg mouthpieces (generic no-brand)
Intermediate Pressure Gauge
Inflator Hose
2x IP hose (both 3/8" and 1/2", one of each)
HP hose + SPG (replaced it due to it having condensation inside, it still works, it's better than nothing)
IP blanking plug
Set of dry glove outer gloves
pack of AA batteries
Spare dive knive (€10 china special)
spare blades for the line cutter
zip wax
o-ring grease
talcum powder
1st aid kit

A demand O2 system based on an old MK2/R190 and a 4L/200 steel (28 cu.ft) and a spare regulator set is pending.

I carry an extra regulator w/hose, a couple wrenches, tie wraps a and mask strap.

I carry basics, cause I deal with students, plus whatever broke last time. My kit is getting kind of....deluxe, but boy, I make friends fast on the beaches and boats.

I carry pliers. Also in addition to spare mask strap I have a spare mask in my "dry bag"--saves time re-strapping the mask, especially if already in the water.

Low pressure inflator
dry suit hose
bic lighter
weight belt buckle
nitrox analyzer

I bring the following extra items.
1) reg set up with gauge and drysuit inflator hose
1) mask
1) backup light
1) SMB
1) o-ring kit ( all sorts of o-rings)
1) Intermediate Pressure Gauge
1) inline Intermediate Pressure Gauge adjustment tool
1) multi tool
1) adjustable wrench
1) spare computer
4) extra batterys for camera, lights and computer
2) pro valve din inserts for pro valves with allen wrench 6 and 8 mm
1) din to yoke adaptor

I was a Boy Scout, and old habbits are hard to shake.

I carry most of the above tools, plus one useful repair kit for me - a small bottle of "new skin" to paint over any annoying cuts/nicks/scraps that I always pick up but can never figure out where or when. I've also got a few small diamond files - useful for taking sharp edges/burrs off things, or making fixing holes bigger.
