Well...that takes all the fun out of it
My arms are usually either criss crossed with my hands resting on the opposite bicep or I have my hands clasped in front of me with my arms bent slightly.
My arms are usually at my sides. When just cruising through the water I will tuck my thumbs into the D rings on my waist strap. In this position I can hold the reel for the dive flag and access the rear dump on the wing with my fingers no arm movement or excess drag is required. It'a also really comfortable as you can maintain the position with the muscles in your arms totally relaxed.
But only when I'm diving "in the blue" some distance away from vertical walls!

While cruising:
Left arm has gun clasped at mid-band and streamlined.
Right arm generally streamlined.
Potential sashimi sighted:
Gun handle in right hand, arm extended forward± 60°.
Left hand on gun butt pushing forward hard to control recoil.
Favorite position is left hand on gun, right hand hauling a full stringer.
Camera folks and others who carry things will have problems with the poll too.

I usually grab my elbows or biceps with my hands. If angled correctly, I don't need to move my hands to read my computer.
