Anyone ever use this webbing in rigging a Hog harness? I have picked up some and am a bit surprised at just how soft it is. It's also pretty thin. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience using it for a harness? I'm thinking warm water travel harness okay, but I'm not sure I'd want this stuff on my doubles rig. Or does it work just fine in all situations? Thanks!

I have not used that specific webbing however, i have used some close to it. The only downfall I have noticed is the second it becomes wet all my tri-glide retainers slide.... d-rings move, harness fit changes, buckle loosens, the works.... So for a doubles rig the weight will make everything slide. The only good thing about that webbing is it makes a great stage/deco/pony bottle strap setup if you sew the neck loop below the tri-glide. Hope this helps

Unimpregnated webbing is soft and floppy. Soft is great when you are wearing little or no suit to protect against the abrasion of a stiffer webbing. It is sucks when you are reaching behind to get your arm in the harness, especially when wet. It is all about compromises. In an ideal world you would have soft webbing and a tender to dress you.
