How easy is it to get a job at a dive resort or on a live aboard dive boat? I'm graduating high school this spring and would like to take a few years off in the tropics working full time at a dive resort or on a dive boat. I'm only a PADI open water diver, but planning on getting my advance diving certification sometime before I graduate. I'm also a Red Cross Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor. Will I be able to make a living working at a dive resort or on a dive boat?
I'm leaning more to working on a full time operational dive boat so I don't have to worry about paying for a place to stay, and for meals.
I would like to eventually become a divemaster.
I know the job won't pay much. I also know that it would be a lot of hard work.

Any help would be welcome.
Thanks!

You're not going to get a job unless you're at least a divemaster or more often than not these days an instructor.
Theres no diving "work" anyone under DM level can actually do.
