Showing Kevin Lee Some Real Diving

Kevin Lee has dived all over the world, including each pole. His photos are extraordinary. We felt it was time to get him back into real diving, with real surge and real backscatter. We met up at the Cabrillo Beach boat launch in San Pedro.

Our first dive was on the wreck of the African Queen as it is commonly called. Only Patrick Smith knows the real name.
The vertical visibility was great. We could see the wreck sitting in ninty feet from around forty feet. Horizontal vis was less than desirable.


We then beat our way through the wind chop to White Point Rock. Visibility was poor, and even shooting macro was difficult. Keving probably got National Geographic quality shots. I got these;


















After diving with us, Kevin will never enjoy the tropics again.

Where there are nudies, Kevin will follow!

Got to love WPR. So much to see on such a little reef. I'm sure Kevin had a great time with all those inverts. Really dig the Hermit Crab and Alba shots. Did Merry come back with any keepers?

A few, but her housing had some water in it. We went to the barge and it flooded again, so I'll be replacing o-rings later.
