hello,
Planning a trip to Barcelona from Aug 26 to first week of September. Any suggestions on diving in the area, or getting to Mallorca or some other islands for diving?
 
I recommend to look for "diving medes islands" in the Google. The town of l'Estartit about 140 kms from Barcelona and the local dive centers organize dives from there. This is a protected area with more life than in the usual Mediterranean dive sites.
 
I have dove with Montgó Sub in L'Escala. Nice people to dive with, See Quim Pàllas. Their number is (972) 77 13 07. L'Estartit was too touristy for my taste.
