Peter took this picture at Polo Beach. He said the fish was about 1/2" long. We have no idea what it was.

Aloha I have a friend here who is a marine biologist, they said they are pretty sure that it's a juvenile shortnose wrasse. Was it darting around as it swam?

You can like their page on FB Tropical Oasis Photography. It is an amazing resource with current photos of all kinds of fish. I am the worst at fish ID

It was indeed darting around in a small coral head. I assumed it was a juvenile of some sort.

Thank you.
