Hi, I'm new to the board and happy to have found it!!!

I've been going to Venice beach, Fl ever since I was a kid--collecting the sharks teeth. Now, I dive it, but I've never heard of Alhambra. Can anyone tell me what/ where is it? ( is it the name for the bone yard?)

Thanks!

Alhambra is the name of the street that the beach is off of that a lot of us like to go to. If you do a search of the board you should find out more info on it and I think there are soem directions in the Florida Conch Divers Section as well. Also there are scubaboarders going out there almost weekely so maybe you can join with some of them, as I think it is best to go to a new site with someone that has been there before.

Thanks Wendy. (I never read street signs! lol) I've been diving Venice for two years now--but we uselly do a beach dive on the right of the pier at Sharky's. We also dived the small bone yard in front of the convience store. Where is the best area to beach dive? And do you know where the main bone yard?

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Visit the Florida Conch Divers forum and I bet you'll find more information about that dive location as well as some people that will even "show you around".

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

:sunny Hi there! My name is Matt. Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my diving dream. I’ve met a lot of nice divers and many helpful divers too. I think you will get the information you need from SB. I look forward to reading more of your posts about your diving adventures. If you’d like to chat, please PM me.
I am looking forward to seeing you some more around the boards!

Welcome to Scubaboard. The Florida Conch Divers are a great group of divers for you to connect with.

Welcome to tbe board!

Alhambra is also an abandoned town NW of Skellytown in the Texas Panhandle.
Not much help, huh.

Hi there! My name is Kayla, and I have been diving for over two years now! I think that you will be able to learn a lot here at ScubaBoard, and hopefully you will be able to post about some of your experiences as well. If you have any questions, please PM me. Otherwise, I hope to get to know you better around the boards!

Safe diving!

The Florida Conch Diver's forum has lots of info on the site. Try the dive site "sticky note".
