Hello,

I will be at Puerto Galera the 16 of November for a two week diving trip. We wanted to dive at Puerto Galera and then go to Apo reef.

Due to the Thypoon, will the diving at those locations be possible? Has it impacted the visibility and under water current and if yes to which extent? Also, are the boats in good condition to navigate?

Thank you!

Haven't heard from anyone I know in Sabang/Puerto Galera, but friends in nearby Anilao said they only canceled half a day of diving because of the storm.

Everything is fine here relatively speaking compared to other places..... there is big tides at the moment so all the particles should get sucked out to the open sea over the next few days.

We have no electricity at the moment but they believe it should be back around Wednesday or so.... no internet either but most places have generators so it should be fine, I'm currently using a usb internet stick so that works for me.

At the minute dive shops can't refill tanks but this should get solved by Wednesday or Thursday.

What about Dugong Dive Center at Club Paradise in Dimakya Island, Coron? Does anyone know if they are ok? I am traveling there in January 21st and just want to know if the resort and dive center is operational.

I have been in touch with Chindonan Island resort & dive center, they were hit hard. Chindonan is 45 min. boat ride from Busuanga in Coron. That area was hit bad.

this link shows the areas that were in the path.

GavinO, Thanks for the update.

I should update this to say the the electricity and internet is back on with one or two brown outs per day (nothing unusual for here :banghead: )

I've seen better visibility but I have also seen much worse so by the end of the week it should clear up.
