Hi,

I read here on the board that people put desiccant packs in their UW housing to prevent fogging. Is it the kind that we find in new shoe boxes etc, or is there a special kind of desiccant for this purpose?

thanks,

Jason

NEVER use the ones from shoe boxes as they are not dust free and that very fine dust can damage the moving parts of your camera.
ONLY use ones that are specified dust free.

I use the ones I get in electronics packages. I know, they're not certified dust free. But I don't see the fine dust being a problem on a digital camera.

Whichever ones you use, when they get too moist to work anymore, you can put them on a tray and bake them in your oven for a bit to dry them out.
