The solution is right in front of you. You should just buy him a scooter and a light, then he won't have to devote so much time to DIY pursuits.
Nothing shows you care like a new canister light.

I thought I'd give an update.... The canister light is finished was tested under some pressure last night. The good news is it's very bright. The bad news, there is a little bit of water in head and he can't figure out if it is condensation or a small leak....

He also says that he will build me a bike light next, which would be cool, but a canister light may be a bit big for my bike....

I just have to vent here, my boyfriend is currently going through a DIY dive scooter and dive light obsession and it's driving me crazy! For the last several weeks all he does is research on look at parts. Or talk to me about parts... grrrrrrr!
