Because the problem is non-existent and the solution to it is not to throw another one into the mix. Heck, if one o-ring can extrude, then so can two and three and four. "Thinking divers"... remember?

Who cares what causes it. The point was the need to be able to isolate and that it cannot be done with a single tank.

No it doesn't, but have you never heard of independent doubles or sidemount?

I am quite sure that it is conceivable someone could shear their burst disk off bouncing through rocky horror but I do not see how it is relevant to a discussion on single tanks and intro divers who are not allowed in restrictions in the first place.

I suppose intro divers never hit the ceiling ?
