Glad to see that I'm not the only person who makes packing lists!!! anytime I go on major trips (work related or recreational) I always make a packing list. I also pack an extra copy in my bag so I can check things off when I pack to return home so I don't forget something. No more calling hotels and asking them to mail me that AC adapter that I forgot to grab that was plugged in behind the TV!

Being a new diver myself, this list is a definite step ahead for some diving trips I plan to make this summer!

THANKS!

I have a similar list in Excel. I have a master list that has all of my equipment with sizes & serial numbers.

For individual trips I make a copy of the master list.
I then delete the items from this list that are inappropriate for this given trip.
I also take a spare copy with me for the return trip home as someone else suggested. On the return list I mark anything that I wish I had brought with me for the trip.
When I get home I update the list I used for that trip.

The next time I go on a similar trip I refer to this updated list.

Any new equipment purchases get added to the master list.

The master list doubles as a record for insurance purposes since I keep receipts for all my scuba purchases.

My wife and I do the same thing for non-diving vacations also.

I've been diving a long time and have forgotten my dive flag on more than one occasion. I always check my dive gear etc, but the flag and other important "NON-Dive" items have slipped my mind more than once. I'm going to go to a list. :D
