Hey Guys, You didn´t miss much yesterday. The current really churned things up. Hope for better today. I´ll look for you on the boat. I was the guy sitting next to the guy with the big lens. His name is Paul. See you.

Ps: what box do you check to get the quote to appear highlighted?

'Reply with quote' should get it....

This time tommorrow & we should be on the ground in Coz!

Will probably be eating in town Sunday evening(cooks off) and going to East side Monday afternoon after we get back from fishing.

We'll have our 'Gordon tape' on & hope to run into some of you!

Nice diving with you today once again. Everyone we spoke with today said yesterdays current was terrible. Luis at Deep Blue said it was the worst he's seen in 20 years of diving here on Cozumel.

Sadly, we heard today from a hotel guest here at Coz Palace that a lady was sent to the chamber after yesterday. I gather she was a guest here at Coz Palace as well. Bummer.

Today, however, was just perfect at Palancar Caves and Paso del Cedral. Lots of turtles today!

Here are a few shots right from the camera:

To anyone in Cozumel right now- I'm just wondering if there's really a need for me to bring a wetsuit? We dove in Jamaica last year, and I just wore board shorts & a rash guard; we went down to 100+ and I wasn't cold at all. I'd rather just not have to bring extra stuff if I don't really need it. We're getting there on the 18th... Thanks!

Well, back home and getting ready to return to work tomorrow and just dealing with the post-Cozumel depression.

The final 2 dives of the week were on Friday. First dive was Palancar Caves and the second dive was Paso del Cedral again. Both dives were great-almost no current to speak of. It was welcome considering the report from Thursday's dives which I missed due to my ear problem. Unconfirmed rumor had it someone from our hotel (Cozumel Palace) had to take a ride in the hyperbaric chamber Thursday night.

Already thinking about the next trip. Hopefully I'll be able to post a couple pictures early this week.

It was great getting to dive with fellow S/B members Bruce (hammersb), Chris (clowe) and his wife Mindi, and my dive buddy Chris Walrod.

I dove in a dive skin all week and was fine. Water temp was 81-82.

I'd recommend some protection, if not just thermal, then also from any accidental contact with anything. A 3mil or less doesn't really take up that much room. But, it's your call.

We did two great dives yesterday, Palancar Bricks and Yucab...beautiful...

Easy current, a bit chilly on the second dive...

Talked to a couple yesterday that were on the boat with the woman that ended up in the chamber. Said she had just got certified the day before and there were strong currents and low visibility. She ended up at 160 ft, came up without a safety stop and was okay, but they sent her to the chamber. Lucky woman.
