I'd say, hitch a ride with some one who is coming, and since it's a beach dive, tank rentals are cheap ($10 for air). :D

I would love to join this group, I will be visiting LBTS Nov.11-19. This would be a blast as I do not have a dive buddy, alas, my girlfriend insists that she come along. She is pretty cool and gets along well with others and doesn't mind mixing the occasional drink. Thanks for the entertaining reading.

Hi Bandit doing any diving while here?

Hey Divergirl, I sure intend too, its My main reason for visiting after hearing about all your good diving down there. I would love to meet up with some SBers while there for some diving and drinks. Thanks Jan

Hey Dixie, I can relate, eyikes, but it's true, if you could hitch a ride with someone and sleep on someone's couch, all you pay for is fills because most of us have extra tanks you could borrow.

I'd offer my couch but it's so covered with dog and cat hair that even I wouldn't sleep on it! LOL!

That is great bandit I would love to join you but I am not released from my sugery yet. on 10/17/08 I should be although it will take me a little time to work back up to the shore dive queen again lol
A good way to get a group of divers to join you is to post in Trips and Marketplace with the date and location as the title.

But we do have a boat dive planned on 10/18/08
Here is a link :)

I'd love to meet new divers... so I'd be down for it, but I'm flat broke right now and will be till my transfer at work goes through.

At the rate things are moving, it looks like I'm probably beached till next spring. Gah.
Learn to dive from shore like the rest of us "down and out's" :D

I can dive Venice, and I can dive the east coast via Blue Heron Bridge, LBTS, or a number of other shore dives. All are the cost of gas (about $5.00) from an LDS... Housing for a "REAL CONCH DIVER" [AKA Scubaboard diver can be worked out... without having to prostitute anything  ] If you own the equipment... OR... if you post what you lack, some of us can make up the difference...it IS how we help to keep everyone interested in diving... and how we keep those interested... interested! :cool2:

I have some AL80's that aren't seeing much action these days if you need some loaners....

One other thing... "Real" Conch divers are interested in helping other divers, new and experienced. We often dive the "easy dives" to give newbies the opportunity to gain experience with other experienced divers... It's not always about "singles meeting singles"...

I often alter my dive plans to give lesser experienced divers a chance to experience something they thought was above their level! By doing just that, the new diver experiences some thing new, and gains additional confidence in the process...

Single or dating, we are all pretty much the same when it comes to diving, and the love of diving... We invite all to partake, and we agree to adjust our diving to the least experienced diver in order to maintain safe processes and procedures...

Tim... dude... Blue Heron bridge and ForceE needs you!

I recently took pics with Walter and Nancy (Walter actually has a better half these days)... All of us from the west coast are familiar with low vis (And, last weekend was a treat... lol) 5-7' vis... Not what east coasters are accustom to... We had a blast, and spent a couple hours after our dive with the ID books to identify sea life none of us have seen!

Very cool of you to offer your 80's for loan! (Just remember... if you dive CCR... you're gonna die! :rofl3:)
