Eh, well you're making a good decision by not diving again until you get that resolved. Sounds like you need to go see a cardiologist. Although your post makes it sound like you've seen more than one doctor, so perhaps you've already seen one, but I'd get a second opinion if you have indeed already seen a cardiologist. Palpitations are not something to be screwed off since they can cause dysrhythmias which can cause inability to live...I'm surprised the doctors are so disinterested in that. Do you have Kaiser? That'd explain it. :/

My coverage is worse than Kaiser - Canadian Public Health. My GP works at a clinic, so I can wait to see him or see whoever is on call at the moment. I've had an ECG, a Holter test, a treadmill test, and blood tests done. These are pre-requisite tests for seeing a cardiologist (and I'd have to fly to see an electrophysiologist).

I'm fully aware that when the main pump fails, the whole system goes offline very quickly. That's why I'm taking it seriously and not diving. If I have to sell all my dive gear, it's a lot better than my wife selling it. She wouldn't know what to get for it.

I think the problem is that I don't have any of the risk factors, so there isn't an easy answer for them to hand out. They've gone away, too, so it's an intermittent problem. (On the first day, I was getting 20-30 a minute! It was about 2 days after a rough dive, too.)

But yeah, it's been a few long, dry months. My goal for this year was to get in 12 dives; I didn't make it. I did surpass my fitness goal, though.

Anyone else having this problem too? Haven't been in the water for several months and just itching to get back in? I don't think I've dived since September, and normally I dive multiple times every month, so I feel like I'm about ready to have a seizure or go into convulsions from withdrawal. :p

Paramedic school is sucking the life out of me.

</rant>
I am lucky, it may be an aquarium, but I am gauranteed warm water and big animals every 2 weeks at the very least. But yeah, I am itching to do some "real divng"...been too long.

Good luck in school!

Im right with you guys. It's been since this morning for me, and there's no way my schedule will permit any more diving for me until at least tomorrow.

Kev, you are sooooo bad! :rofl3: I love it!

Seriously, though, when you live in S. Fl it's impossible to not dive as often as possible. I couldn't imagine living somewhere when diving was a seasonal activity.

Let us make it up to you! Come on down for a week or so and dive our beautiful, tropical fish infested waters! You need a break from that cold and soon to be white stuff.

Thanks for rubbing it in guys lol
Don't worry, after tomorrow, I won't be able to dive again until Saturday. That's why I'm really hitting it hard and doing a three tanker Friday, and then a four tanker Saturday to hold me over until Sunday. Monday I have to work, however I work as a DM, so I'll be diving that day as well. I might take Tuesday off and just dive on my free time. We'll see.

Be forewarned, watertemps are in the mid 70's right now and will probably get as low as 71 here. It's not for the faint of heart.

Yeah, we gotta drag out out 5 mil suits with a vest underneath. And wear a hood! :shocked2: NOW don't you cold weather people feel sorry for us? We suffer, too, but find a way to make it work. Kev, if you need support for your withdrawal symptoms, call me and I'll try to talk you through. If I'm not successful, I'll join you in a dive so you don't go down alone...:rofl3:

Man, that's rough. I don't even know if I could handle that water temp...I wouldn't have any clue what exposure protection to where. Although that's because I've never dove in water that warm, you a$$hole. :p lol.

Seasonal? Ain't no seasonal activity out here. I'll dive in December just as readily as March. The only difference is I'll be drinking hot cocoa after the dive instead of cold water...ain't no thang.

I like the diving in Cali... especially in March. I need to get back that way.
