I need opinions about the best diving places in Florida. Southern part. The clearest best places to see the most. This would be at the end of May for a couple of days

Thanks!!!

If you are looking for sharks and other large animal encounters, Jupiter hands down. It can be a little "much" and you might want to warm up with a couple of dives in West Palm, or Boynton.

You might get different feedback, but I think the reefs in Boynton Beach/Lantana area are the best in FL.

I think overall, with the best chance to see large animals, Jupiter.

But know Jupiter has current (all the sites mentioned do, for that matter - so you need to be comfortable drift diving), sites tend to be deep (70 - 90 fsw), you need to have good boyancy skills, and sometimes you see more than you bargined for underwater, and this can be unsettleing for some. (Remember a couple of years ago we dropped down and saw bull sharks feeding, in poor viz, which frankly scared me a little).

If Palm Beach is in your future, post back and I'll recommend some very good operators.

Nothing compares to the Marquesas to Dry Tortugas on either side.

More fish, fewer divers, light current, great vis most of the time,no thermoclines unless you are really deep.
The drawbacks are expense and availability.

i will have to go with Jupiter31 on this Jupiter is a great place to dive it is my personal favorite

I'll second the Tortugas and Marquesas. You'll get more dives on a liveaboard than a standard charter too!

Check the Playmate and Ultimate Getaway.

I'm going to add a "ditto" to Chip's recommendation of Underwater Explorers in Boynton. And it's a six-pack, no crowds!!!
