I'm down here in Tulum Mexico. Yesterday was off/on downpour. The ocean was pretty angry from wind chop. We headed out for some mellow shore diving but came back after 11 minutes, too much chop, poor vis, currents.
Today the heavy rain is pretty constant, the skies are gray, there is some wind (but nothing violent). Power is on/off, there is quite a bit of water on the roads, a few trees are down (but it's pretty minor). I haven't been out yet in this downpour - would get soaked just walking to my car, but yesterday the roads were ok for driving.
Not sure what's going on in Coz or how the ocean looks today, but it's certainly not a good day for scuba diving in the ocean here. Nor was it in Puerto Morales yesterday.
