Been a while since I wore a wetsuit other than a 3mil under which I just wear a swimsuit. When I did wear a 7mil I typically wore a lycra skin under it just because it was such a pain to get on and off otherwise.

O'Neill bike shorts. If I wear swim trunks on multiple day dives, I find the inner mesh works like sandpaper while I sit on the hard benches on the boat!

If I have some privacy, then I wear nothing under the wetsuit.

If there is not any privacy, then jammers it is. I do wear board shorts over the jammers until it is time to suit up.

Jammers. Very comfy. The same ones I used on my high school swim team when I won state

I wear underarmour type underpants. Quick dry and don't bunch up.

another vote for underarmour compressions shorts - comfy & they dry fast and, best of all, I already own them for soccer so I get double duty from them.

Hmmm... I have toyed with the idea of going commando before. But, since to date I've dove mostly on lakes, on small boats without private heads or cabins for changing, that has always seemed like a bad idea. Additionally, I could imagine being rubbed raw or developing a rash *down there* after a few dives.

I've been wearing a pair of Lycra surf shorts (some may call them rash guards, swim shorts, bike shorts, compression shorts, or whatever). They are extremely comfortable and don't show too much in the groin area, even though they are skin-tight. Board shorts (swim trunks) tend to bunch up on me and drive me nuts.

When I am swimming at home, alone in the pool, I usually wear very tight Speedo-style numbers... I never dive with them, though, since I am typically with "family-friendly" groups that don't want to see my junk, ROFL. I'd totally do it, though, if I were in a more private dive setting. Seems like that would be the most comfortable.

I wear a pair like these... they are very comfortable. Might check into something like it.

speedos!

Cheap, light and easy.

Although sometimes I forget them and treat the carpark to a moon :mooner:
