But do you sell any brands other than Scubapro? Just curious.

Their list of "recommended vendors" includes several brands. ScubaPro is the only one of them that makes basic equipment like regs and BCs. The others include DUI, Gates, Henderson, Light & Motion, Sea & Sea, and UK.

Man, if your willing to get bent over by SP pricing and get a reg, bcd and computer all at the same time then you should get free service (parts included) for life. That's a serious committment.

Meanwhile I'll dive my Hog.

Scubapro is our main line.

Over the past 25 years, we have carried almost every brand.

For one reason or another, we decided to drop the other brands.

That is not to infer that there aren't some other " good " brands of SCUBA gear.

IMO, Scubapro is the best.

You might have a bit more credibility if you actually demonstrated some knowledge of the gear; how the regulators work, something about the history of scubapro regs, how the regs have evolved (or maybe de-volved....) anything other than this absurd sales pitch tact. It's ironic that you seem unable or unwilling to participate in any of the discussions about the particulars of the regulators, other than clumsily blurting out lines like "scubapro is the best". You seem to have very little inherent interest in the gear other than constantly trying to sell it.

I've seen nothing indicating that whatever person or persons posting as "beaverdivers" is even a diver.

Many would say that Sherwood is the best and oldest brand out there.
As I remember Scubapro sprouted up out of Healthways back in the early to mid 60's and was self touted as the "Proffesional Line". They held up a fabricated mystique that their regs were way too specialized and advanced for just anybody to work on so the whole dealer only can work on them and no parts to the public were born. But in reality many of the Healthways and Scubapro regs were the exact same inside, only the outside looked a bit different.

Sherwood is actually the oldest reg company out there. Believe it or not Sherwood is even older than Aqualung in a way. They were the ones that made the original first stage for the Aqualung based on a welding gas regulator design - the adjustable diaphram. Later Aqualung made their own but the basic concept was all Sherwood.
They are still around and make one of the premier ice diving regs out there. They also have made a lot of other stuff for different industries as well.

The only reg I have other than my HOG and Edge gear I will likely never get rid of is the 20 or so year old Blizzard I have left and use for a pony and dirty water reg. I did sell one other one and the Brut I bought used for my first reg. Tuned right the Brut was just as good a recreational reg as any I've used. Including ScubaPro, Aqualung, Mares, Oceanic, Aeris, Tusa, and Dive Rite. And it was easy and cheap to service myself.
