I just was on the Scubapro web site and low and behold the G250V has been replaced by the G260.
The new and improved model looks to be both left or right side mountable.
I just picked up an extra G250V this week , and now it is allready obsolete.

Yeah, in another 40 years.

But, whenever you see items all over on closeout and reduced prices, clue one to something new rolling out. There have been a number on Ebay from shops, I was wondering what was up. Now I know and I may be in love. Not sure yet.

You are correct, I had seen somewhere that a new model was on the way. I just couldn't pass up a good deal on new G250V for $200.00 delivered.

I think the G250V will be just fine for me for the next 10 years or so.

Jim,
Did the $200 price include a first stage? If so, which one?

Hi, The $200.00 was for a new Scubapro G250V second stage only. Purchased it from Dolphin Scuba.

WHATS IMPROVED does it use the same rebuild kits how much do you PAY?????

More metal and less plastic. Smaller size. Ability to swap to left or right configuration. Refreshed apperance with metal lock ring.

The website says it is all new and intended for technical diving. Who knows about the rebuild kit? I suspect that in some parts it does and in others it does not share with the 250.

As to what you pay, it is Scubapro, it is expensive. Scubapro is the real thing, not a copy (of itself). I suspect it is not made by slave labor in China and parts will be available for many years or until they file bankruptcy, that is worth the extra money to me.

I notice the video that introduced it on You Tube showed the museum and nothing bad at all was said about the older regs like the 109 and 250, only good things. I suspect y'all can lighten up on the Scubapro bashing or just buy Chicom regs at half the price.
