is a Cerberlilla potiguara, and lest anyone think I am getting better at this, that is compliments of my nudie expert Linda.
Here is a laugh: the Oxy (green nudie for you Kevin) we found alone in the sand had another smaller nudie under him we only saw in the video.
We went last night and vis was worse, I'd say 10 feet and critters not as plentiful but still fun.
The kicker was the last 4 four feet of water was top to bottom moon jellies being ripped along the shore none too happily releasing every stinging cell they had which made for some colorful post dive
expletives......

Kev- I did surface to look for your flag to show you this cool sponge but you were nowhere to be seen
at the risk of giving away my secrets, most of my finds have been while staring mindlessly at the bottom waiting for Kelly to take her 3000 picture, when something moves or I realize it is a nudie so tiny that if I break eye contact I'll never find it again.......
:perv:

See post 4704. :D :D :D
(I still prefer the Jenuchis babilonia name. )

Dawn said that's how she found both of those tiny batfish. She just waited for us to settle down to take a photo and see what moved out of our way. LOL

How's the viz (Monday) today? Planning on a dive tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Viz was a very dusty 30-35 ft at dawn this morning, water temp 81 but felt colder. The moon jellies are indeed back - all thru the water column so you really have to watch where you're going. And yes, lots of little stingy pieces, no doubt chopped up from boat propellers.

I took some of those chopped jellies to the face yesterday on a charter as I was heading to the ladder to get back on the boat. It stung for a good 30 min, but wasn't really painful.

Some quick pics from the weekend, and thanks to Dawn: those tiny batfish were great!!!
Damm sure moon jellies were firing off stinging cells regardless of propellers as they were shredded by current, I must have 20 stings on my face from the last 20 minutes of the dive.
