so there I was emailing rob about my octo s performance asking him so questions when I had a great idea .. why not grab a small ish bucket of water fom the bathroom sit next to the wife and see what exactly was the cracking depth on this .. well 1.5 inches there was I satisfiying hiss (remember I had one hand one the hose small bucket and the other keeping the reg nice and level )the next half inch well lovely loud freeflow wife not happy she was watching tv so quick thinking I immersed said freeflow reg into the remaining water thinking it will stop.... it stopped after expelling the water I got into the mouthpiece and put my finger over it . lesson learned don't do that when she is watching tv .. she hates diving maybe I should buy her a mask

Sounds like a snorkel would be more useful than a mask.

The bucket trick might be fun but it is not very accurate.
