Food/Restaurant Delivery question

I understand there is a restaurant take-out pickup/delivery service on the island. Does anyone have any information and/or experience with this business ? If so, does the service apply to any restaurant or only contracted establishments ?

It's Room Service Cozumel. They'll deliver just about anything legal from any place, even gasoline or laundry. They have delivery contracts with a number of restaurants (so in those cases there's no delivery fee at all) but in any event their fee is very low.

I contact them for orders through Facebook Messaging (search for "Cozumel Room") since that's quickest and easiest for me. Their phone number is 869 0030. They speak English well and are very helpful.

We use them frequently when we're on the island. They're absolutely great and I recommend them without reservation.

That 'room service deal' is awesome. My neighbor the comida del dia chicken from La Choza, no delivery fee. Total was like 95 pesos with generous tip!

Whatever you want, they will get I think from anywhere. Sick and puking? Send them for drugs or what not. I have often thought to try ordering margs on the veranda like that.

Gotta differ with you here. Room Service Cozumel eliminates the need to call many different places. They deliver from almost everywhere - anything that they can fit in the delivery boxes on the scooters. They'll even go to Sams Club for you. Or pay utilities (or dive shop, I'd imagine), take and pick up laundry, visit the farmacia (as Chief said) or about anywhere else.

They also eliminate "lost in translation." If your restaurant order is not available for some reason, they will suggest and or gladly check other places that may have it.
I definitely cheer for them! They've made life-without-car much simpler, and often, cheaper! :cheerleader:

So,you just call the Room Service Cozumel folks at 987-869-0030 or Facebook PM your order be it a Restaurant, Grocery store or business. They then go and place the order at whatever Restaurant or shop for your needed items, they pick it up, deliver to you and you pay them the cost plus a delivery charge when it arrives ?

Yep. That's it Sue Sue. Delivery charge is usually 25-40 pesos, but some are free. I paid 70 pesos for them to go pay my water bill and return with the receipt, and they made a Burrito Gordito stop, too.

Exactly, Sue Sue. It's like having a butler to send around town running your errands for you. And as Sallye pointed out, there isn't even always a charge!

There'll be times it's raining so hard I don't even want to go step outside to get my order and pay, but that poor guy on a scooter will show up every time.
