I think getting kicked is pretty inevitable with long fins like those and being fairly close together.

That is a lot of fin to try to control

can't be bothered to go into why but wanted to voice my opinion that I believe scuba diving and spear fishing is wrong.

Rusty, do you buy seafood at the grocery store?

Is it spearfishing in general you have a problem with or spearfishing on scuba?

I could clearly hear "Stop kicking me". Priceless!

If you can't be bothered to explain your position, why bring it up in the first place?

@dumpsterDiver another good video showcasing your diving. What was the current on Jupiter that day? Obviously not trivial given your reefhook and the flagging that your son was doing trying to line that fish.

If you're behind someone and you get kicked in the face, it's your own dam fault. You can see them, they can't see you. Practice defensive diving. Lol.

The GPS was reading 1.5 to 2 kts on the surface... It was less than that on the bottom..

Clearly I need more experience estimating current! I thought for sure you'd say it was 2.5 at least.

My buddy (11 year old daughter) does the same! During some diving in Thailand, she was zig zagging between Christmas tree worms. She was having fun in the water but was very erratic. Rather than swim beside her, I swam above her and getting kicked. I was able to anticipate her sudden changes in direction by looking ahead to see what might interest her and then made sure she had a clear path to the object of interest.

Cheers
